Enterprise content management tools gather incremental steam

As companies contend with exploding amounts of information that they must store and manage, enterprise content management tools have become increasingly important.

But according to a recent report by AIIM, the Association for Information and Image Management, many organizations are still sorting out basic issues in using ECM tools, including having multiple ECM systems, having no policies to address the bring your own device trend and having the bulk of their data residing outside an ECM system even when they have one.
